We are blessed by our volunteers. If you are interested in helping with any of these ministries or committees, contact Vicar Jon or Secretary Cathy or Wardens Joe and William. This parish exists on “team work”, not solo work.
Ministers of Communion:
Those who prepare the altar and chancel for worship services.
Those who read Lessons and lead in reciting the Psalms.
Those who set the Table and administer the chalice during Communion.
Those who greet worshippers, visitors and assist persons with special needs. They receive and present the offerings and are vigilant to assist the community at worship.
Flowers adorn the altar throughout the year, save Lent. Arranged by Altar Guild members our flowers are beautiful and provide a loving memorial reminder of persons beloved or events to be celebrated. Our flowers reflect the donors' gratitude and thanksgiving for prayers answered and blessings received.
Various projects through out the year but notably supporting regional and local organizations in need.
Counsel of advice, encouragement and straight talk. We are a parish deeply sensible to our Anglican/Episcopal history and traditions. Rite I at 8 AM and Rite II at 10 AM. Our exceptional organist Sherry Dwyer leads with preludes/postludes and hymns at our 10 AM Eucharists.
Boy Scout Troop Liaison:
Outstanding Boy Scout Troop #24 under leader Orlando Mo and
new vibrant Cub Scout Pack #24 under leader Michelle Purdy.
One or two scholarships awarded annually to college students.
Gracious hospitality provided following the 10 AM Eucharists and other parish events.
Physical Needs Committee:
The church Wardens and committee members work closely with the Treasurer and report to the vestry on income and expenditures. They prepare the annual budget for presentation at the Annual Meeting of the Parish and make recommendations regarding funds held by the parish.
This committee oversees the condition of the church buildings, grounds, and the physical needs of the facility and is chaired by the Junior Warden. The members inspect the facility and property and plan and carry out necessary repairs and improvements for the buildings, land, and equipment.
Ways and Means Committee:
This committee plans events for fun, fellowship, and fund-raising - such as, the Car Show, and the Kentucky Derby dinner.
