WORSHIP
“Worship the Lord in the Beauty of Holiness” psalm 96
Becoming the Beloved Community: We are called to worship.
We are called to worship as a community. At Christ Church we gather each Sunday and celebrate the Eucharist with Rite II and music. We gather, we listen to the Word, we pray, we sing, we partake of the bread and wine consecrated for us, and we go out into the world to love and to serve. We believe it our Christian responsibility (read response-ability) to engage in liturgy (the work of the people) that we might show God our gratitude, proclaim God’s holiness, and receive the Holy Spirit that we might be transformed to participate in God’s mission in the world.
In addition to Sundays we celebrate other sacraments such as Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals. We also craft special liturgies around Christmas and Easter, Ash Wednesday and Good Friday.
In addition we gather together to pray at times of special celebration, e.g. our 200th Anniversary in November, and times of extreme difficulty or tragedy, e.g. mass shootings.
Our sanctuary remains open every day to offer anyone who so desires a safe space for prayer and stillness.
All are welcome to worship with us.
Please contact the office at 860-364-5260 or The Rev. Dr. Martha Tucker at 610-715-1840 if you have any questions or need a pastor.

DownloadAlmost daily meditations begun in the time of coronovirus and expanded into new life, new ideas, well...imagination! In this time of isolation when we are all more aware than ever before of the space between us, may this space offer opportunities for blessing. And as we return to life post COVID may we recognize the extraordinary in the ordinary, the sacramental in the daily, as we recognize, reorder, reprioritize and respond to the holy in our midst. Rev. Dr. Martha Tucker
